Pi-Va Invest Oy from Laihia, part of Piccolo Group, acquires Aqua Clean Oy, a manufacturer of industrial cleaning machines in Pori
Aqua Clean Oy is known for its particularly high-quality products, and a significant part of its turnover, over 75%, comes from exports. The company’s revenue in 2023 was EUR 6.5 million and EBITDA was approximately EUR 0.7 million. The company has gained a strong foothold in the global market and has respected customers such as SEW Eurodrive, Rolls Royce Aerospace, ABB, Maersk, Flender, Siemens and Wärtsilä.
The acquisition brings Aqua Clean Oy’s business operations and its approximately 30-employees under Pi-Va Invest. Behind Pi-Va Invest Oy is the main owner Piccolo Group Oy, owned by Petri Kuivamäki and Seppo Koskinen, and the minority owner is Vallgrund Invest Oy, whose Chairman of the Board is Asko Kamppinen. Piccolo Group’s CEO Petri Kuivamäki considers the acquisition a historic step towards building a conglomerate and emphasizes that the acquisition will give the Group a factory from Pori, Finland, where high-quality products for international markets will be manufactured by skilled personnel.
Aqua Clean Oy’s founder and long-term CEO Frey Taxell is happy that his life’s work will be continued, and he sees a very bright future for the company. As CEO, Taxell has created a solid foundation for the company and an extensive global dealer network. Taxell will continue to work for the company in an expert role, which will ensure a smooth change of ownership.
Piccolo Group’s strategy is to strengthen its position in the industrial sector, and this acquisition supports the Group’s growth. After the acquisition, the Piccolo Group will employ approximately 100 people and its estimated net sales for 2024 will be approximately EUR 13.5 million and EBITDA approximately EUR 0.9 million. The Group’s premises are located in Vaasa and Pori.
